WHAT IS MATCHA ?
Tea is one of the most commonly consumed beverages in the world, second only to water. Matcha tea is a powdered form of Japanese green tea (Camellia sinensis) traditionally used in tea ceremonies and various food products in Japan. Recently, it has gained popularity worldwide.
Matcha comes in powdered form, meaning the entire leaf is consumed — unlike other types of tea, where only the infusion of steeped leaves is consumed.
Matcha is a variety of green tea that is shade-grown before harvesting to increase the concentration of chlorophyll and antioxidants in the leaves.
The leaves are then stone-ground into a fine powder, which is mixed directly into water, rather than being steeped.
This means that when we drink matcha, we’re consuming the entire tea leaf, along with all of its concentrated nutrients.
The result?
🍵 We get 100% of its benefits in every cup!

BLACK TEA , TEA & MATCHA are actually the same thing ?
Matcha, green tea, and black tea all come from the same plant — Camellia sinensis — but their differences in processing and oxidation make them unique in terms of health benefits.
🍵Matcha, with its high content of antioxidants and L-theanine, is ideal for those looking for long-lasting mental energy.
🌱 Green tea, with its wide range of health properties, is perfect for those wanting to support cardiovascular health and boost metabolism.
☕️ Black tea, known for its bold flavor and higher caffeine content, is great for immediate energy and heart protection.
One of the key elements in preparing matcha is the use of the chasen, a bamboo tool — basically an ancient version of a frother!
Today, you can literally find matcha in all kinds of products — from drinks and desserts like ice cream and matchamisuto noodle dishes and traditional salts!

📚 Studies on mice have shown that matcha improves spatial learning, increases the regulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and insulin-degrading enzyme, leading to a reduction in neuroinflammation.
📚In vitro studies have demonstrated matcha’s anti-cancer effects, showing it can reduce the viability, mitochondrial metabolism, ATP production, and oxygen consumption of breast cancer cells by disrupting cell cycle regulation and interleukin signaling.
🍵 Matcha also improves lipid profile and glucose metabolism, reduces inflammation, and leads to less weight gain from a high-fat diet.
Matcha is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that can improve our health in many ways.
Here are some of the main benefits:
Rich in Antioxidants: Matcha contains an impressive amount of antioxidants, especially a class called catechins, which help fight free radicals in the body, reducing the risk of chronic diseases and supporting cellular health.
Boosts Energy and Alertness: Matcha is known for its caffeine content, but unlike coffee, the caffeine in matcha is absorbed slowly, providing more stable and long-lasting energy without the sudden spikes and crashes.
It also contains an amino acid called L-theanine, which promotes calm and focus, creating a kind of “zen energy.”Immune System Support: Thanks to its high concentration of chlorophyll and antioxidants, matcha is known to boost the immune system, helping the body better defend itself against illness.
Cardiovascular Health Support: Some studies suggest that matcha may help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and improve heart health.
The catechins in matcha are also linked to improved blood circulation and reduced blood pressure.
Supports Mental Health: In addition to enhancing alertness, matcha has also been linked to improved mood.
The L-theanine it contains can have a calming effect on the nervous system, helping to reduce stress and improve focus.
